Grievance Redressal Mechanism
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Selfish Network has put in place the following grievance redressal mechanism for users to raise concerns about content, conduct, or any aspect of the Service.
1. What You Can Report
You may submit a grievance for any of the following:
- Abusive, harassing, or objectionable content posted by another user
- Concerns about a message, post, event, or shop listing
- Account access, verification, or security issues
- Disagreement with a moderation decision (e.g. content removal, account suspension)
- Privacy or data protection concerns
- Any other violation of our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy
For content you encounter within the app, you can also use the in-app reporting option where available, which routes the report directly to our moderation team.
2. How to File a Grievance
Please write to us at the email address below with the following details so we can resolve your grievance quickly:
- Your registered email or username
- A clear description of the issue
- Relevant details such as the locality, message, post, or user involved (if applicable)
- Screenshots or other supporting evidence, if available
3. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the IT Rules, 2021, the following Grievance Officer has been appointed to address complaints regarding the Service:
Grievance Officer: Selfish Network Team
Email: grievance@selfish.network
4. Response Timeline
- Acknowledgement of your grievance: within 24 hours of receipt
- Resolution of your grievance: within 15 days of receipt
Complex matters may take longer to resolve; if that happens, we will keep you informed of the progress and expected timeline.
5. Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided, you may write to us again referencing your original complaint for further review. We are committed to addressing every grievance fairly and in good faith.
